This was the second song from DCFC i ever heard. Before, my brother would play all these india bands that completely sucked. It made me hate indie. Then I first heard The Sound of Settleing. After that I got the video on my PSP and watched it all day. That was 3 years ago and they are still my favorite band. I now actually like indie. but DCFC is becoming to popular. They left Barsuk records and now tey gettting very popular. it may sound like a good thing ,but indie music means independent. All the record componies(or the ones that represent DCFC’s genre) will want them to join. They can’t be called indie. But they always be my fav

I hear what you’re saying DCFC, but I wouldn’t take that kind of thing too seriously. good music is good music. if they started out indie, what the hell, that’s their roots no matter who picks them up later on. good for them if they get popular! I used to think any of that mainstream vs. indie crap had any inherent significance. I’ve long since learned it doesn’t. it’s all about the music. don’t lose perspective! if they start to suck, that’s one thing, but if they’re still good, who cares if they’re “mainstream”? they’ve earned it! it means they can quit their (probably unfulfilling) day jobs and do what they love for a living. isn’t that what we all want?
