Eddie Provides A Much More Appealing and Likely Scenario

Boats by Eddie Breen

This guy stole my old ‘thing’! Thrift store painting paint-overs! But you know what, he can have it. He’s done more right by it than I ever did. ‘He’, by the way, is Eddie Breen.

I like his story actually, because for the longest time he was scared of doing art, didn’t think he was any good, so he didn’t do any. Then one day (in his forties by this time) he just started doing these crazy-awesome things for the hell of it. And it’s worked out well for him. He sells his stuff like crazy on ebay. Crazy!

Anyway, speaking of making things for the hell of it, I’ve been collaging and doodling up a storm today, inspired perhaps by the freak hail-storm that befell me earlier. It was freaky.

And speaking of that (me arting it up I mean), if you’re feeling adventurous, email me a photo of yourself that you love, plus at least one random other picture that ‘does something for you’ (it can be anything), plus at least three random (but kind of unusual) facts about yourself. If you can’t think of any, make some up. (my email is brooke dot snt at gmail dot com) This is a limited time offer. I’m doing an experiment. You’ll probably like the results. If you don’t, too bad, and you suck, but you’ll like it even less when I start charging for it. That is all you need to know.

Good day.

i always wanted to do thrift-store paint-overs as well but i found it to be prohibitively expensive because for some reason thrift stores charge all this like, money and shit.

Yeah, not to mention the god damned art stores *charging* for paints. What the hell? I’m not saying it’s some kind of conspiracy or anything… against artists…

Selves (approximations, of course, and subject to outgrowing, naturally). This is what my ‘super-secret art project‘ was that I posted about awhile back. When I think about getting back into painting, …

fact that I’ve totally dropped the ball on that godstar portrait project I was going on about here and there last year. I doubt anyone who sent in photos, etc. has been holding his/her breath on it …
