More Than 7 Good Things (A Picture Show by the Brooke)

Oh my goodness, I’ve been tagged by a ‘blog meme’! I feel so internetty. Gyrus, fellow internetter and friend of the show has tagged me. He seemed embarassed (”I don’t normally do this sort of thing…”), but I guess these things are usually quite lame, as in “list your top ten favorite kinds of bunny!” But I agree that this one’s good, as opposed to lame, so I accept and here is my response:

The challenge is to list ‘7 Positive Things‘. It must contain no traces of negativity, no sneaky inversions of things I don’t like - just seven things about which I can truthfully say, “I am all for this.”

I’ve decided to do it in the form of a picture show! I’ve also decided to go over 7 things if I feel like it (which it turns out I do), because I’m a renegade who plays by her own rules.

(Tag, you’re it).

Wow, have you ever loaded a whole bunch of songs Brooke. You really are an organizing nerd in such a good kinda way. And also the tales that weave strongly here are pure, I really like what I have been reading from all of your old and new friends. Very cool. The only thing is I haven’t been tagged and was thinking maybe I could add to the tag anyway … and cause you broke a rule already Brooke, I could break a rule myself and just say the seven positive things on my mind right now. Is that cool? (waiting, waiting, waiting,…) Ahh, I’m just gonna have to go ahead …
    1) I like that the wind speaks to me
    2) I love not knowing, but not love why
    3) Animals of all kind
    4) Children
    5) Not being told what to do
    6) Spontaneous encounters
    7) And art of all genuine kind

    Markus

PS My best to all here, and a happy new year again!

Hey Markus, thanks for adding yours, that’s exactly what I wanted to happen. I hope more people do the same. But what do you mean, you weren’t tagged? I tagged everyone. It says “tag, you’re it” right up there!
    .
Your list is lovely. you did break a rule with number 5 (it’s an inverted negative), but I’ll let it slide, this time.. (this time)…

Just to be sure, since I was deliberately vague about it in the post, everyone found the hidden clues, right? they’re in the mouse-over text for each picture. I used that because this wordpress theme is crazy with layouts and I don’t know how to make pictures and text play nicely together when there are more than say, 2 pictures involved.

An inverted negative may be true Brooke, and an inverted positive in the same sense as I did something anyway, cause I don’t like being told what to do hahaha. I didn’t know about the mouse over text clues, that’s a clever way of hiding them! And the funny thing is I pretty much assumed the clues without knowing the specific words. All in all a fun exercise. I must say the best thing overall is the original point which is to think of positive things which always generates positive thoughts and actions.

never too late for the list i hope…

    1) naps in the cozy grass under the shadow of the old oak in my grandfather’s farm
    2) loosing track of time (generaly when waking up after the naps)
    3) writing poetry for myself, but having the courage to show it to someone that needs it
    4) autumn, it’s colours and that nostalgic feeling i’ve learned to love
    5) music of course, and when it suits my mood it can hypnotise
    6) drawing
    7) the smell of old books
i will take on your renegade attitude :
    8) smiling to myself over memories or for no reason at all
    9) women, i believe, god’s(whatever god is) greatest work, wich leads me to:
    10) natalie portman in garden state
    11) obsession for hourglases, chessboards, old stuff, wolves…
    12) inspiration
    13) the fact that i could go on all day naming positive things!

includes positive things, but things i personaly enjoy as well
