Baby, I Was Born On A Train

Woo! I finished my new improved version of Born On A Train [UPDATE: here’s a better mix] for the Magnetic Fields Tribute album! And behold the beautiful cover art which I collaged together out of paper, computers and magic.
The album is slated for release in early March, and it will be available for free at the 001 Collective. Thanks to James Eric for dreaming up and coordinating the whole thing!
And hey, why not check out the original “Born On A Train” via this lovely Magnetic Fields video?
I’ll just be over here, being awesome.

Thanks yblad. Enjoy the songs!
Hey brook…left you a fun no harm done comment on youtube re: Hayden and Home By Saturday instructional. (I’m harmless I swear!!! Ask my wife!!!)
Anyway, I really like your voice and your guitar rhythm is excellent and well timed. For the mix, I would duck the music while singing to bring out your really very lovely and feminine voice. Any originals? Will look about to discover for myself.
Best regards, Harmless Larry
Thanks Harmless Larry! I’ll go look for your youtube message…
Regarding your harmlessness, hey, I’m sure you are. I have no need to check with your wife! Geez. You might want to keep in mind that little saying: “he that protests too much”…? ;)
Hey …Brook!
Thank you for adding me as a friend on YouTube. I really enjoy your guitar playing. Thanks for the close-up on your fingering of the chords also. I also play guitar and may pick up a few pointers. Do you have a MySpace? Let me know okay, and I will add you as a friend on my MySpace at: http://www.myspace.com/rebelrhoads .
You have a very sweet sound!
Hey Franklin, thanks! I’m glad my videos have been helpful to you. That was the whole original purpose until the music kind of took on a life of its own. :)
I no longer have a myspace (I killed it), but I do have a facebook. Check out the ‘Brooke Links’ in the sidebar.
refresh your poor, ADD-inflicted 21st century memories, I made a song for it last month, and designed one of the two album covers (as seen above). My cover of “Born on a …
