I Love This Kid!
Ethan Haller from New Zealand is way cool! …which just further proves my theory that people from New Zealand are way cool!

release yourself. fly into songs unrehearsed and unannounced. laugh every five seconds. make your music sexy and be generous with beer. this is how we free ourselves and each other.
In-House Concerts
Folk/acoustic/minimalist artists might want to check out Concerts In Your Home. It’s an organization/service/networky thing that links people who want to host house shows with people who want to play them (or attend them in some cases, but usually they’re invite-only).
Youtubers with little to no live experience but who are awesome (you know who you are), this could be a great way to get your feet wet. Even if you only do covers, I imagine people hosting private house shows might actually prefer that in many cases.
I found out about this via Andrew Dubber and thought it worth passing on.
When my album is done, and when I’ve conquered my nerves enough to have a go at real live performing, I might start out this way myself. Maybe I’ll even do a little tour if enough people in different areas want to arrange and host my shows in their houses.
Hey… maybe I could even get the whole Youtube crew together (Doron, Evan, Jeff, Nefe, Keith, Boo, etc.) for some kind of In-House Concert group tour! (guys?)
I do miss being a gypsy.
Demetri Martin = Comedic Genius
By “comedic genius” I don’t merely mean he’s a genius at comedy. I mean he’s a genius who is also comedic. I wouldn’t normally post something just because I find it funny, but I make exceptions for geniuses and artists. Demetri Martin in his BBC special, “If I,” is just brilliant on all counts. I’ve never seen anything like it, especially from a comedian. Anyway, he’s my new favorite.
And I found “If I” on the YouTubes! So here:
